Oxford, MS (October 10, 2021) – At 2:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, October 10, a car accident with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Oxford.
According to police, the accident happened at 206 Town Center Drive near the Highland Square Apartments. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
