Starkville, MS (October 4, 2021) – At 11:21 p.m. on the night of Sunday, October 3, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Starkville.
According to Starkville Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Russel Street and Lampkin Street around the area of the Fire Station Park. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles collided forcefully with one another. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, the intersection was blocked in the area for some time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
