Tupelo, MS (December 3, 2021) – On Tuesday, December 2, a woman was killed in a fatal truck crash on a roadway in Tupelo.
According to Tupelo Police, the accident happened on Barnes Crossing Road. A woman identified as 52-year-old Carrie Ann Milner was driving her SUV in the area when she was suddenly struck by a semi-truck in the area due to reasons that are not fully known. The accident happened near the area of Mt. Vernon Road and led to extensive damages to the SUV.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Milner was traumatically injured in the accident. She was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
