Oxford, MS (December 11, 2021) – At 11:49 a.m. on the morning of Friday, December 10, a car accident occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened on MS-6 around the area of the Denmark Grocery. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area on the highway when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the highway for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
