Oxford, MS (December 15, 2021) – At 7:10 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, December 14, a car crash occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 1506 Jackson Avenue in front of the local Papa John’s Pizza. Several vehicles were traveling in the area in the westbound lanes when the vehicles collided forcefully with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
