Starkville, MS (December 21, 2021) – At 10:02 p.m. on the night of Monday, December 20, an injury accident occurred at an intersection in Starkville.
According to Starkville Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Stark Road and G.T. Thames Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
