Ellisville, MS (December 29, 2021) – On Wednesday afternoon, December 29, a rollover accident occurred on a major roadway in Ellisville.
According to Jones County officials, the accident happened on MS-11. A driver was traveling south on the roadway when the driver lost control due to reasons that are not yet known. Their vehicle went off the side of the road, which caused it to roll over onto its side. The vehicle was left with extensive damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The two occupants inside the vehicle, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Fire crews had to extricate the victims from the vehicle before they were taken to the hospital.
The roadway was blocked in both lanes of traffic for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
