Seminary, MS (January 5, 2022) – Around 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday morning, January 5, three people were killed in a fatal truck accident in Seminary.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened on US-49 around the area of MS-589. Police confirmed that 31-year-old Quentin Harvey was traveling south on US-49 when he suddenly collided with a Toyota Sienna being driven by 29-year-old Georgia Braziel that was traveling east. The vehicles were left with extensive damages as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Braziel, as well as a 4-year-old child and a 1-month-old child in the same vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.
Due to the severity of the accident, police blocked a portion of the roadway in the southbound lanes for some time. The roadway was completely cleared around 3 p.m.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
