Oxford, MS (January 24, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a major roadway in Oxford on Monday afternoon, January 24.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 2151 Jackson Avenue at the local Chipotle restaurant. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
