Biloxi, MS (February 7, 2022) – On Monday morning, February 7, two people were killed in a rollover crash that happened in Biloxi.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 9:24 a.m. at the intersection of MS-15 and Lamey Bridge Road. Police confirmed that a small SUV was traveling in the area with two people in the vehicle, identified as a couple. They went through the roundabout at the intersection, which is when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle and forcefully rolled over. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained serious damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The couple, identified as 77-year-old Norman Selvog and 74-year-old Linda Selvog, were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver in the second vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was completely blocked at the intersection for some time until police were able to fully clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
