Starkville, MS (February 9, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place at a Starkville intersection on Monday evening, February 7.
According to Starkville Police, the collision happened at the intersection of MS-12 and Avenue of Patriots. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
