Byhalia, MS (February 19, 2022) – On Saturday evening, February 19, a car accident with injuries took place on a major roadway in Byhalia.
According to Byhalia officials, the accident happened on I-269 around the area of Shinault Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
