Oxford, MS (February 26, 2022) – On Friday, February 25, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 5:25 p.m. at 1724 University Avenue in front of the local Exxon. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
