Oxford, MS (March 3, 2022) – At 5:45 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, March 2, a car crash with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1808 Jackson Avenue in front of the Quality Inn. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided in the westbound lanes due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in front of the Quality Inn for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
