Bay St. Louis, MS (March 9, 2022) – On Monday afternoon, March 7, a woman was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash in Bay St. Louis.
According to Waveland Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Kiln-Waveland CutOff Road and Volga Street. A motorcyclist was traveling in the area headed north while a dump truck was headed south. The two vehicles collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The motorcycle was extensively damaged as a result of the collision.
Several responders, including local paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, identified as 27-year-old Morgan Pearl Bennett, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
