Oxford, MS (March 10, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Thursday evening, March 10.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 6:05 p.m. in front of Oby’s at 1931 University Avenue. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when one lost control, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes of traffic for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
