Crawford, MS (March 10, 2022) – On Thursday morning, March 10, two people were hurt in a tractor-trailer accident that happened on a major highway in Crawford.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened at 7 a.m. on US-45. Police confirmed that a Dodge minivan was traveling in the area when it was suddenly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer due to reasons that are not fully known. This caused the tractor-trailer to overturn, leading to extensive damages.
Several responders, including local paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. Two people were inside the minivan, identified as Albert and Sharon Miller. Albert Miller and the driver of the tractor-trailer, Yancy Kirk, were both hospitalized. They are expected to recover from their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes following the collision, which led to delays in the area. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
