Prentiss, MS (March 11, 2022) – Around noon on Friday, March 11, a fatal motorcycle crash took place on a roadway in Prentiss.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident happened on MS-13. Police confirmed that 54-year-old Rubin Bourn was traveling south on the highway when his motorcycle was struck by a Ford Ranger driven by 19-year-old Daniel Griffin. The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Bourn was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
