Oxford, MS (March 12, 2022) – Around 5:15 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, March 12, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 913 South 18th Street. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. It is believed that one or more may have lost control. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their identities are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
