Oxford, MS (March 13, 2022) – At 10:25 p.m. on Friday night, March 11, a car crash with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened in the early morning hours on Thacker Road. Police were able to confirm that several vehicles were traveling in the area when two or more vehicles lost control, colliding with each other in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other Oxford responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
