Oxford, MS (March 14, 2022) – At 6 p.m. on Monday evening, March 14, a car accident with injuries took place on a major roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 2550 Jackson Avenue. Several vehicles were allegedly traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when one or more lost control. This caused the vehicles in the area to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damages as a result of the collision.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several westbound lanes of traffic for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
