Vicksburg, MS (March 17, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious two-vehicle crash that took place at an intersection in Vicksburg.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Churchill Drive. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including Vicksburg paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several victims allegedly sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision and the damages involved, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. Police urged those in the area to avoid the intersection until the scene was cleared.
