Oxford, MS (March 29, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious multi-vehicle collision that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Tuesday evening, March 29.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 7:20 p.m. at 1711 Anderson Road in front of LaFayette Place. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
