Oxford, MS (March 30, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Wednesday evening, March 30.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 2530 Jackson Avenue around the area of the local Walmart. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, most westbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
