Tupelo, MS (March 30, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal crash that took place at a Tupelo intersection on Sunday evening, March 27.
According to Tupelo Police, the accident happened in the evening hours at the intersection of South Gloster Street and Highway 6. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One of the passengers in a vehicle, identified as 26-year-old Quintarus Hogan, was rushed to the emergency room with severe injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers involved in the accident did not have injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
