Guntown, MS (April 1, 2022) – Around 10:38 a.m. on Friday morning, April 1, a semi-truck collision took place on a roadway in Guntown.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened on Highway 45. A semi-truck was traveling in the area when it suddenly collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several parties sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. Police were able to clear the scene within the hour.
