Oxford, MS (April 3, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Sunday morning, April 3.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 11:36 a.m. at 104 South Lamar Court in front of First Watch. It is estimated that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
