Oxford, MS (April 5, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Tuesday morning, April 5.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 8:40 a.m. at 2200 South Lamar Boulevard around the area of the Oxford Clinic for Women. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles were severely damaged as a result.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
