Oxford, MS (April 5, 2022) – At 10 p.m. on Monday night, April 4, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 800 College Hill Road in front of the Lost Pizza Company shop. It is believed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when at least one of them lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed away from the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
