Oxford, MS (April 11, 2022) – At 5:35 p.m. on the evening of Monday, April 11, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1206 Office Park Drive around the area of the local Endoscopy Center. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
