Oxford, MS (April 29, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Friday afternoon, April 29.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 4:10 p.m. at 1501 Jackson Avenue around the area of the Noodle Bowl. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
