Oxford, MS (May 1, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Sunday morning, May 1.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 2:52 a.m. at 2406 South Lamar Boulevard in front of Phillips Grocery store. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
