Oxford, MS (May 1, 2022) – On Sunday afternoon, May 1, a car crash with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1898 Jackson Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes in front of Car Wash USA when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several local Oxford responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
