Fulton, MS (May 11, 2022) – On Tuesday morning, May 9, a man was killed in a fatal collision that took place on a highway in Fulton.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-22. For reasons that are not fully known, a 21-year-old identified as Murian Glass was traveling west when his vehicle was involved in a collision with a westbound tractor-trailer. The passenger vehicle was badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Several local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Glass sustained minor injuries in the collision and was hospitalized. His passenger, identified as Jabahrie Green, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
All westbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police also confirmed that Glass will be facing charges due to his role in the accident.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is being conducted by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
