Vicksburg, MS (May 12, 2022) – On Thursday afternoon, May 12, a car accident with injuries was reported on a highway in Vicksburg.
Vicksburg Police reported that the first calls came in at 3 p.m. when they discovered that a car crash took place at 2900 MS-80. It was reported that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result.
Numerous first responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash. Several injured parties were seen being treated by paramedics. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions are not known at this time.
A portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use caution until the scene was fully cleared.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
