Oxford, MS (May 19, 2022) – Around 5:30 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, May 18, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 2625 Jackson Avenue. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when they collided in front of West Jackson Chevron LLC. It is believed that one or more vehicles lost control, which led to the forceful collision.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
