Vicksburg, MS (May 26, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place on a roadway in Vicksburg on Thursday morning, May 26.
According to the Vicksburg Police Department, the accident happened around 10:45 a.m. on Pemberton Square Boulevard in front of the local AT&T store. It is believed that several vehicles collided with each other in the area due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
A large portion of the road was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use caution until the scene was fully cleared.
The investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
