Starkville, MS (May 27, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place at an intersection on Friday morning, May 27.
According to Starkville Police, the accident happened around 9:49 a.m. at the intersection of MS-12 and Louisville Street. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hurt in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
