Oxford, MS (May 30, 2022) – Injuries were reported as a result of a car accident that happened in Oxford on the afternoon of May 27. At around 1:30 p.m., responders were sent to the scene to help the involved parties.
According to reports, the wreck took place on Jackson Avenue West. Multiple lanes were closed while paramedics and police rendered aid at the scene. The injured victims were transported to area medical centers for medical care as needed.
The total number of injured victims has not been reported at this time. Police and paramedics remained at the scene for an extended period while they investigated the details of the incident and assisted injured victims.
Traffic was delayed in the area while crews were present. No further details have been currently released.
