Vicksburg, MS (May 29, 2022) – Around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, May 29, a two-vehicle collision with injuries took place in Vicksburg.
According to Vicksburg Police, the accident happened at the intersection of MS-27 and Stenson Road. Two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and forcefully collided with each other, causing them to go off the side of the road and drive into a ditch. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene of the collision to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic for some time. Police urged those in the area to use caution until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released. Vicksburg Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
