Oxford, MS (June 16, 2022) – A serious car crash happened in Oxford on the afternoon of June 16. Sources say that responders were seen in the area the crash occurred at around 2:35 p.m.
According to reports, the wreck happened in the 1600 block of Jackson Avenue West near State Farm. What led up to the collision remains unknown at this point in time.
Police, paramedics, and fire crews were called to assist at the crash scene. The injured victims were rendered aid as needed. Those with serious injuries were transported to local hospitals via ambulance.
Currently, the extent of the injuries suffered in the collision has not been reported. Police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
Delays in traffic were observed in the area while responders were present. Drivers commuting near the crash site were asked to use alternative routes.
