Ripley, MS (June 27, 2022) – David Barnes lost his life in a fatal crash that happened in Ripley on the afternoon of June 22. At approximately 3:17 p.m., responders were sent to the scene on MS-4.
Reports show that the incident happened on MS-4 when Barnes was traveling west in a 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. He collided with an eastbound 2011 Volvo semi-truck being driven by James Sanders, 51, from Guntown.
Barnes suffered fatal injuries due to the crash. Police and other responders were seen in the area for some time after the wreck occurred, causing significant traffic delays.
At this time, no additional information has been reported concerning the crash.
