Oxford, MS (July 13, 2022) – Police were sent to the scene of a motor vehicle collision in Oxford that left at least one person with injuries. At approximately 5:10 p.m, on July 12, police in Oxford received a call concerning a car wreck on University Avenue.
Reports from police show that an unspecified number of vehicles collided on University Avenue near Hit Fitness. The incident caused traffic delays and police asked local drivers to use alternate routes for the time being.
One or more victims suffered injuries in the accident. Paramedics rendered aid to injured parties at the scene before transporting those in need of further care to area hospitals for treatment.
Currently, police in Oxford continue to investigate.
