Lucedale, MS (July 26, 2022) – A woman identified as Yvette Thomas, 56, lost her life in a crash on Monday, July 25. Reports show the incident occurred just before 6:00 a.m.
According to information provided by officials, a Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling on MS-63 when it collided with a Hyundai Sonata headed east on MS-613. The Sonata’s driver lost their life in the crash.
The driver was later identified as Yvette Thomas. Police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
Traffic was backed up in the area for an extended amount of time on July 25. Authorities asked drivers in the area to find alternate routes of travel for the time being.
