Oxford, MS (August 24, 2022) – A car wreck was reported in Oxford on the morning of August 24. Shortly before 10:00 a.m., responders were sent to the scene of a wreck on Sisk Avenue.
Sources say the collision occurred in the 700 block of Sisk Avenue. An unknown number of cars collided in the area causing injuries to at least one person.
Those who sustained injuries in the accident have not been identified at this time. Paramedics rendered aid to at least one person at the crash scene. Those with serious injuries were treated on-site and transported to area hospitals as necessary.
Drivers commuting near the scene of the accident were asked to use alternate routes while responders worked in the area. At this time, it remains unclear how or why the crash took place.
Police in Oxford continue to investigate the details of the accident.
