Noxubee Co, MS (September 05, 2022) – A woman was killed during a head-on crash on Tuesday, August 30th in Noxubee County.
According to a spokesman from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the incident took place on Highway 21, between Preston and Shuqualak.
20-year-old Antris Hood, a resident of Macon, was traveling northbound along the highway when she was involved in a collision with an oncoming pick-up truck, driven by 59-year-old Mark Clark, a resident of Crawford.
The Noxubee County Coroner pronounced Hood dead at the scene.
Clark was transported by paramedics to Noxubee General Hospital in unknown condition.
Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the incident.
