Meridian, MS (September 18, 2022) – A car crash happened on the afternoon of September 17 in Meridian. Just before 3:00 p.m., responders were sent to the crash scene on Interstate 20 to help those involved.
Sources say the wreck occurred on Interstate 20 near Interstate 59. All southbound and westbound lanes were blocked while emergency crews worked at the crash site.
Crews were present in the area for a prolonged time period on the afternoon of September 17. How many people suffered injuries in the accident has not been reported.
Currently, police in Meridian continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Traffic was backed up for some time and drivers commuting in the area were asked to use alternate routes.
