Biloxi, MS (October 2, 2022) – An 8-month-old baby was found deceased after a house fire at a residence in Mississippi on Sunday, September 25. Reports show that the baby was found after firefighters responded to the scene in St. Martin on Sunday afternoon.
Christy Beninati dropped the baby and her 6-year-old child at her parents’ residence on her way to work. She stated that her kids were left with her father and two other children. Beninati stated that she received a call at approximately 4:00 p.m. stating that the house had caught fire.
Officials report that three other children were present in the house at the time of the fire. None of them sustained any injuries. At this time, it appears that no adults were present in the house when the fire occurred.
Authorities in Biloxi continue to investigate the details of the incident.
