Jackson, MS (October 24, 2022) – In the early morning of Monday, October 24, a major car crash happened in Jackson. Multiple responders were sent to the scene to render aid to those involved.
Shortly after 8:00 a.m., emergency crews were sent to the crash scene to help the involved parties. Reports show that the accident happened between multiple vehicles on Interstate 55 near Savannah Street.
At least one person suffered injuries, however, the extent of those injuries has not been reported.
Police investigated the cause of the crash while EMTs treated injured parties and fire crews worked to clear the wrecked vehicles from the roadway. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged in the collision.
All lanes of the interstate were blocked while emergency crews worked in the area. Limited details are currently available concerning the crash.
Authorities in Jackson are working to determine the reason the accident happened.
