Gulfport, MS (November 17, 2022) – A woman identified as Francesca McKay, age 53, lost her life in a head-on crash in Gulfport on November 17. Reports indicate the incident occurred while the woman was driving home from work at around 5:00 p.m.
McKay was transported to Singing River Hospital where she later died from her injuries. The Harrison County Coroner stated that McKay had been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Police in Gulfport sent a traffic alert out at around 5:00 p.m. concerning the collision, which closed down both lanes of Seaway Road until sometime after 7:00 p.m.
What caused the incident to occur remains unknown at this time. Authorities continue to investigate the details of the crash.
